Iryna Borysiuk is an Associate Professor of Philology in the Department of Ukrainian Literature, Comparative Studies and Social Communication at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University and a Senior Lecturer at the Literature Department of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. In 2007 she received a Ph.D. in Philology from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy for the dissertation entitled “Poetics of the 80s generation: the structure-forming role of the mythic and ritual forms”. Her main interests are contemporary Ukrainian poetry, myth in literature, literature and the problem of identity. She is currently working on the question of representation of national identity in contemporary Ukrainian poetry
