Work of the authoress as an ethnographer in a regional museum was the basis of her present function of director. The new conception of development of the museum was successful thanks to her experience and practice in the field of museology as well as to cooperation with her colleagues.The article deals with the evaluation of the proposed conception after the period of 6 month considering the concrete forms of its realisation in 2004. In the conclusion the authoress outlines several suggestions concerning the contemporary schooling in the field of museology.
