With reference to Wilhelm Diltheys' conception of comprehension in the humanities, some negative consequences of the attempts of comprehension of authors and actors of history are described in this paper. In the light of the settlements of the contemporary social and personality psychology such attempts inevitably lead to the biased historical cognition. It is accentuated that especially intuition and utilization of internal experience of historian cause the distortions and the biases in the historical narration.
