Pavel Fraenkl was a Czech-Norwegian scholar. This article provides an overview of Fraenkl’s works published in Czechoslovakia before WWII and in Norway until his death in 1985, reflecting his life as a refugee from Nazism. The focus is on the developmental trends and methods in Fraenkl’s literature and philosophical thinking.
