The article is dedicated to 'Dziennik Poranny' (Morning Daily), a daily published in Kraków from 3 December 1895 to 22 July 1987. A total of 448 issues were published over that period. On 1 February 1896, Wilhelm Feldman took over as the editor-in-chief, changing the paper's name to 'Dziennik Krakowski' (Kraków Daily). The paper targeted the city's progressive and radical democratic intelligentsia. Its political programme was based on an alliance with Galician socialists affiliated with the Polish Social Democratic Party. In addition to politics, the paper focused on literature and art criticism.
