The presented text considers a theoretical status of Intercultural Education, areas of its interests and studies as well as theoretical perspectives, basic categories and notions highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of Intercultural Education, its location within Studies on Education, and courses and determinants of its development in particular regions of the world. Te undertaken analysis aims also to explain and discuss relations of Intercultural Education with other areas of educational studies such as European Education, Regional Education, Global Education and Education for Peace.
