This paper is focused on the issue of adolescent fatherhood. The interest in that issue increased very recently among scientist and social workers. This statement is unfeigned in regard to adolescent mothers, but not altogether true in regard to adolescent fathers. The Polish literature about teen fathers is still limited (there were few researches on this issue). Therefore, additional interest among social science researchers is required against a backdrop of information. The main purpose of this paper is to ask the questions: does early fatherhood pose problems for the individual person, is it also problem (trouble) for the family of adolescent father and is it a problem from the point of view of society as a whole? The collateral issues of this paper are: factors associated with unintended fatherhood, roles of young fathers (involvement as father) and ways of coping with cover phenomenon.
