(Title in Polish - 'Projekt nowej ustawy o spóldzielczych kasach oszczednosciowo-kredytowych oraz o zmianie niektórych innych ustaw w swietle podstawowych zasad Miedzynarodowego Zwiazku Spóldzielczego ('zasad roczdelskich)'). Rochdale's principles are basic rules established by the International Cooperative Alliance. They were modified. The author considers whether, on the basis of Polish cooperative law, these rules were being complied with. Another issue discussed in the article is estimation of the legal definition of cooperatives adopted by the International Cooperative Alliance at the Congress in Manchester in 1995. The author concludes that the legal definition of a cooperative incorporated in Article 1 of the Act of 16 September 1982, Co-operative law is in flagrant contradiction with this definition. In the second part the author discusses the main assumptions of the draft of new law on co-operative savings and loan associations (form 1876). This project was assessed critically because it does not conform with the fundamental principles of cooperative.
