In 1961 the Leon Wyczólkowski Museum in Bydgoszcz purchased a group of 405 coins comprising chiefly half-grossi by Wladyslaw Jagiello (1386-1434). The tentative identifications imply that the hoard, discovered m 1939, comes from the vicinity of Ujscie, poviat Pila. The coins were included in the Museum inventory in 1971, No MOB/Mo 5719-6097. The coins were catalogued on the basis of an undated rough list preserved in the Numismatic Cabinet. Coins were cleaned before this was made. Their condition is good. Difficulties while identifying them result from a poor striking quality. Coins included by S. Kubiak in Types XI and VI make up the most numerous group. The youngest coins date from the years 1431-1434, thus the hoard must have been buried after 1434. (2 figures)
