The religious thought of Stanislaw Brzozowski changed over time and fell into deep crises. His first crisis was provoked by a contact with Darwinism, when young Brzozowski lost his child's religious faith. At the further stages of his intellectual evolution, he was influenced by Amiel, Durkheim, Nietzsche, socialist thinkers and Polish romanticism. Finally, Brzozowski discovered religious thought of Newman that helped him to come back to Catholicism.
