Languages of publication
The usage of play elements in the public discourse tends to become common in the contemporary Poland. This article shows different kinds of that language play. All the examples were taken from the speech activities of the Polish politicians and journalists during the parliamentary campaign of 2007. The authoress emphasizes the persuasive character of those linguistic techniques and at times their extremely aggressive nature. The most influential sources of this tendency typical for the modern political discourse are in the creative language activities of 'Gazeta Wyborcza' daily and are also present in the works of 'linguistic poets'.
