The aim of the article is to present the reception of the Kennedy assassination in Poland in 1963-1964. The Kennedy assassination was undoubtedly a great shock for the people all over the world, however, in terms of the ideological war, it quickly became a propaganda means to prove the weakness of the democratic system and the immorality of the American society. The Polish press underlined the fact that the murder of President Kennedy was not an isolated act, but consecutively the fourth political murder in the history of the United States. The Warren Commission's findings were not recognized as persuasive. According to the theory assumed by the Polish press, the conspiracy of the Cold Warrior faction was behind the president's assassination, who was perceived as too liberal and willing to compromise with the Soviet Union. The Polish press also pointed out that Kennedy's assassination had become a pretext to organize the anticommunist campaign.
