According to the onomastic terminology included in the publication Οsnoven sistem i terminologija na slovenskata onomastika - Osnovnaja sistema i terminologija slavjanskoj onomastiki - Grundsystem und Terminologie der slawischen Onomastik, Skopje - Skop’e - Skopje 1983, which is still recognised to be relevant, it is necessary to translate the German term Zuname into Czech as příjmení ‚surname‘ and the German term Beiname either as příjmí ‚by-name‘ or přezdívkové vlastní jméno ‚nickname‘, depending on the context.
