In this paper the authoress describes the school slang in Polish and Czech languages. The examples used throughout the paper have been extracted almost exclusively from Polish and Czech slang dictionaries. This paper presents methods of enriching Czech and Polish slang vocabulary, especially methods of word formation. The authoress concludes that derivation dominates in Czech. In Polish is being observed derivation and composition. In both languages occur also neosemantisms and tendency to borrow many new words from other languages, especially from English.
