The aim of this article is to construct a genological model of political satire that would include the invariants of the satirical text. Satire as an autonomous poetic genre appears to exhibit four such invariant elements: 1) reference to present-day circumstances; 2) the momentum of negation; 3) the comic mode; and 4) an axiological context. However, no account of the nature of Hemar's satirical text would be complete without taking into account such elements as narrative form (monologue or dialogue), techniques of satirical critique (invective), constraints of the framework of literary communication (eg. stage presentation, radio, etc.), use of conceptual and comic devices (including those peculiar to Hemar himselt). Furthermore, Hemar's satirical compositions include also a number of autonomous elements, ie. 1) author's introductions (metatextual or thematic); 2) portrait galleries; 3) (interpolated) monologues; 4) (interpolated) dialogues; 5) the moral. The axiological and anthropological roots ot the political satire justify the treatment of Hemar's art as an expression ot a free individual, unable to accept the postwar division of Europe, and ceaselessly clamouring for the restoration of moral and social order from totalitarian usurpation.
