The paper deals with the problems of training of students in the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology of the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University in Bratislava. After presenting concise account of the past situation the authoress treats the present state of affairs. She presents the conception of theoretical training, courses schedule, aims of the courses as well as the reflection of certain limits and deficiencies.
