A sports performance plays a lot of roles depending on the category of participants as well as the aims fulfilled. Nowadays there are a lot of types of such shows - one- and multidiscipline, organized and spontaneous, permanent and held from time to time. The Olympic Games opening ceremony in Turin had a traditional setting with modern technical equipment. Its setting was more spectacular than the sportsmen's performance.
