The article contains a semantic analysis of the lexeme 'krew' (blood), which is one of the most frequently used somatic expressions in K.K. Baczynski's poetry. Only one meaning bears a positive connotation, namely 'zycie' (life)). Other meanings are associated with 'evil', 'danger' and ultimately with 'death'. In the semantic description of the word you can observe its rich cultural and colloquial associations. The lexeme 'krew' (blood) is also a common element of phrasal expressions.
