The paper deals with urban speech in Zvolen (town in the middle of Slovakia), depicting its typical features in morphology level at the beginning of the 21st century. The research was carried out in Zvolen in the period 2000 -2005, specifically with a direct method of data collecting including interviews, observation and written questionnaires (62 people were interviewed and completed questionnaires from 182 people were received back). Analyses in morphology level focus on the inflectional parts of speech. The aim is to present development of the declension types and also individual features. The authoress describes the stable dialect elements, as well as variables connecting urban speech to standard language.
