The purpose of this article is to take a closer look at the issues of the altruistic rebellion, which is assumed here to be a kind of juvenile defiance, which is distinctive as it has the world's evil as its specific object. The theoretical part of this article includes a definition and a general characteristic of the adolescent rebellion, it describes its two forms - intrinsic and extrinsic rebellion - as well as how it is demonstrated in relations with other people. Some further parts are devoted to the description of the essence of the altruistic rebellion and its references to pro-social acts and especially to some predicted motivational mechanisms. The empirical part involves the review concerning the ispso-centric and endocentric mechanisms of altruistic rebellion. The results show that certain explanations related to altruistic rebellion can be associated with the youngs' willingness to prevent perceived threats as well as their attempts to change the world as a result of their youth idealism.
