The article presents typology and examples of surnames of inhabitants of the Lidzbark 'komornictwo' that derive from place names. The material comes from sources from the years 1500-1772. Among names equivalent to place names, German anthroponyms predominate; among derived names, Polish anthroponyms predominate.
