The paper is focused on a survey performed by Polish exile magazine 'Kultura' (Culture) published in Paris. The survey included members of three important generations of Polish intellectual exile (born between 1903 and 1955), including representatives of particular exile waves due to political upheavals in 1939, 1947, 1968, and 1981. The paper monitors the opinion of exile thinkers on Poland in Europe and in the world, in parallel with Polish-Russian relations, and also the question how the traditionalist extreme polonocentrism evaporated in exile thinking. The survey was answered by: R. Pilsudski, B. Wierzbianski, J. Nowak, L. Unger, L. Kolakowski, K. Pomian, J. Karpinski, S. Gomulka, A. Smolar, W. Kuczynski, and J. Zielonka.
