The paper presents the main characteristics of the klezmer music created in Central Europe and developed in Eastern Europe. The repertoire of the klezmer cappela shows the movement of this folk culture to the East and absorbing elements from the people that Jews lived with. At the same time the Jews instrumental professionalism provokes transformations in the thinking of the players and in the structuring of the instrumental folk music in the east European people. On the Balkans the klezmers participate actively in the territory of Romania and Moldova. The contacts with the others more southern nations are usually not direct. The influence of the klezmer and the Gipsy bands on the urban instrumental style in North Bulgaria is obvious. The interactions between klezmer music and rebetiko are also very interesting.
