This article gives attention to very interesting and innovative conception of being elaborated by John Duns Scotus. Scotus understood being as the object of metaphysics in the widest sense. Interpreted this way, being presents the totality of its content and its modality. Being as being is considered by Scotus in many aspects: in its metaphysical, logical and in predicative meanings. All these significances of being move into the full content of being and in this sense they are the objects of philosophical analysis.
