The so-called Old Provostship building in the III courtyard of Prague Castle served as the seat of Prague’s bishop until the end of 13th century. Archaeological research has revealed the complicated development of this stone palace originating in the 11th century. The findings offer a look into the building’s equipment and everyday life, including evidence of luxury dining as well as an unattractive hygienic situation.
