The development of intellectual property as independent curriculum subject on Slovak law schools after year 1989. Broadening of the research object of the intellectual property legal science under the influence of new requirements formed in the process of socio-political, economical and cultural changes from socialist central planning, directing and ideological censorship under the totalitarian governmental power under leadership of communist party to the development of pluralistic democracy, capitalistic market economy, freedom of authorship and freedom of speech. Development of earlier theoretical concepts in intellectual property law by a new generation of Slovak and Czech legal scientists. Cooperation of the legal scholars and pedagogues in the field of the intellectual property law in Slovakia with economical and cultural sphere. Development of foreign, European and international cooperation in the given field. Contemporary theoretical base in the field of intellectual property legal science, accompanied by the entry of the youngest generation of legal scientists and pedagogues into this field.
