The Summer School for Young Researchers on Adult Education has taken place annually since 1999 at the University of Zielona Góra under the scientific supervision of Prof. Józef Kargul, offering junior researchers on adult education from all over the country a chance to meet prominent figures of Polish science. The authoress briefly describes permanent, or even 'traditional', items on the agenda of the Summer Schools that include: speeches by young researches on adult education, meetings with Masters, role-playing games, field trips to German institutions focused on adult education, and articles prepared by the young researchers later to be published in the 'Adult Education Discourses'. Using archival sources the authoress refers to the most important facts and experiences related to the School's activity, and presents thoroughly memories and reflections by its former, multiple participants. They stress the importance of the Summer Schools for their educational development, gaining research and communication experiences, as well as for bonding adult educationists together and heightening the sense of 'community of young researchers on adult education'.
