An important element of contemporary education is the inclusion of cultural conditions of socialization. It is of particular importance in the face of the present globalization processes. Te inclusion of the tradition of one's own cultural group, a reference group, must be parallel to respect shown to other groups' heritage. Tis way an individual is being prepared to living in the conditions of cultural pluralism. Apart from developing tolerance and moral values, intercultural education must also refer to historical heritage considered from different points of view. Tis text focuses on the example of socialization including cultural factors related to the Polish minority of the Brest Circuit in Belarus.
