GRAMMATICAL AND SEMANTIC FEATURES OF 'SLYCHAC' (TO BE HEARD)

The purpose of this study is to examine the syntax and semantic features of verb 'slychac' in contemporary Polish language. The main object of analysis is 'gdzies slychac cos' which is a lexical unit of Polish. It is the basis unit founded (among others: 'gdzies slychac, jak _ '; 'gdzies slychac, ze _ '; 'slychac o czyms'; 'jak slychac _ ' and 'co slychac _?') by verb 'slychac'. In conclusion, the following definition of 'gdzies slychac cos' is proposed and discussed. Cf.: (gdzies (i) slychac cos (j)). '(a) somewhere (i) is such, that: (a') if someone (k) will be somewhere (i) and someone (k) can know something (l) about somehere (i) because of something (w) that happens in someone's (i) ears (a'') such that it is not the case that something (w) can happen in another part of someone's (k) body, and (b) something (j) is such that may cause that something (w) happens in someone's (k) ears'.
