There have been three new accidental small finds of Roman aurei recorded in different regions of Poland. The oldest of the coins is an aureus of Antoninus Pius from the Miedzyrzecz poviat (lubuskie voivodeship), which was dug up in November 2005. The other finds are a coin of Gordian III found near Kwidzyn (Pomorskie voivodeship) in about 1995 and an aureus of Gallienus discovered near Kazimierza Wielka (Swietokrzyskie voivodeship) in about 2002. All of the three presented aurei had been pierced.
