Abstracts
The paper describes Dancing House as a cultural happening intended to teach people folk dances. The local variants of folk dances mediated to public by instructions represent the source of information about authentic traditional dancing forms in Slovakia. The article presents a brief history of Dancing House and focuses on the main principles of the teaching and on the dramaturgical methods. In conclusion the authoress emphasizes importance of Dancing House and outlines its main functions within the folklore movement in Slovakia.
