The small number of theoretical publications on the Spanish language norm and, in particular, the phraseological norm, and the great diversity of Spanish and Hispanoamerican phraseology, in various types of the language, are not conducive to the unification of the modern phraseological norm of Spanish. In his work the author presents a wide range of normative issues, a discussion about the problem of definitions and the problems strictly relating to phraseological - phraseographic issues. The main aim, however, is to draw attention to the basic constituents of a precise linguistic description of Spanish phrasological units. The stability of the PanSpanish phraseological norm is conditional upon such a description.
