The aim of this article is to find out the relation between the knowledge level and the activity effects of construction companies in Poland. The group of 126 constrcution companies was named. The special knowledge index was elaborated and based on it one can estimate the relation between the rate of index and financial perfomance. Thanks to partial correlation indexes it was possible to estimate the real influence of separate factors on the net profit of construction company during the transformation period.
