Employee assessment is vital, but at the same time it is one of the most controversial and conflict prone aspects of management. The purpose of this article is a succinct overview of problems related to employee assessment as well as the calling of attention to certain matters that have an impact on whether the assessment system serves a positive role in the organization or harms it.
