Franchising is a specific entrepreneurship form, a concept of business development involving both parties of the franchising contract. According to the research, 97% of newly established companies based on franchise concept continue operation after first year on the market while only 62% of traditional businesses survive after the same period. Similarly, after 10 years of running business only 17% of individual companies remain active while in case of franchisees as many as 72%. The author describes the influence of franchising on the expansive enterprise development.
