The article presents oddities of the development of the process of naming in Bulgarian and Polish chrematonymy in the face of globalization. Examined are causes and motives influencing the origins of chrematonyms in both countries. Despite globalization, such aspects were reflected as: social relations, economic policy, marketing strategy, psychological motivation, the owner's relationship to object and customer, fascination with foreign names. The semantic analysis conducted allowed division into groups and subgroups of chrematonyms with similar characteristics.
