An idea of searching and working up the issues connected with 'Staszic's life after death' is obvious. Up till now a subject concerning his presence in common memory of Polish people in the 19th and 20th century has remained in the background of the studies on social consciousness' phenomena. First opinions that took stock of deeds and works of Staszic were formulated shortly after his death. These were occasional publications: sermons, funeral orations, poetry, paragraphs. But the analysis of literary output was not the only source of the examples for Staszic's presence in common memory of Polish people in the 19th and 20th century. What interesting, images of Staszic were popularized almost within all following publishing enterprises that were to introduce meritorious for the history of nation persons to the reading public. Another important plot, which is firmly connected with 'Staszic's life after death', concerns the analysis of the activity of associations and institutions that in the past were dedicated to Stanislaw Staszic, and were to realize his conceptions in practice. Such organizations started to exist on Polish territories towards the end of the 1880s, and observed their greatest development in the first half of the 20th century.
