The article describes the activity of the Prussian jurisdiction aimed at restricting the freedom of speech in Prussia-governed districts. Using the example of Wiktor Kulerski's periodical, the mechanisms of restraining the free Polish press as well as Polish journalists' resistance to germanisation were described.
