Strategic human resources management is perceived as a coherent method of managing the most valuable of any organization's capital, namely, people. A competitive (strategic) advantage of an enterprise is achieved by the identification and usage of the resources which distinguish its activity. The article presents a new conception of managing knowledge employees as strategic resources of knowledge in small and medium enterprises. An analysis of a subject literature has been done in the article and a niche in the area of managing knowledge employees and an evaluation of employee selection for SME sector has been discussed in the article.
