'After rain comes sunshine': the slogan of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences aptly characterizes the 179 year old history of military science, its workshops and forums operating within the frames of Hungary's learned society. In the different periods of the history of the Academy, different and changing meanings were ascribed to this sentence. Since the change of regime, the national and conservative international scientific circles have acknowledged the achievement of Hungarian military science. The millenium and the 21st century have brought sunshine after the rain to the Hungarian proponents and scholars of military science at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Committee on Military Science Committe as well as its entire membership.
