The origins of this partial source research are linked to the preparation of Dvorak's works for piano for publishing in the frame of the Nove souborne vydani del Antonina Dvoraka (The New Dvorak Edition, NDE). This article considers the available sources and the history of origin and publication of Dvorak's two piano pieces, Dumka op. 12,1 and Furiant op. 12,2. It adds new information to the previous research, and interprets the existing sources in a new way.
