The article deals with Polish-Bulgarian toponymic parallels on the common Slavonic background. The toponyms are arranged by structural and semantic criteria. Only specific and interested phonetic features are analyzed such as the protethic (v) in Vadol (Polish, Bulgaria and Slovenia) against Udol in the rest Bulgarian regions and Slavonic languages. Some of the toponyms have a new etymology, ex.'Bestwina', Bulgarian Besvina from *bestvina 'elder, Sambucus; elder forest', 'Viskyar' from viskyar 'uprooted tree with roots' in the Northern Russian dialects .
