Professional mobility is a new issue in Latvia that has not been analyzed before. The topicality of professional mobility has increased in recent years because of many tensions in the labour market triggered by workforce emigration and the increasing demand for workers in the manual labour and financial professions. The authors propose a combination of methods for evaluating the professional mobility of the workforce - namely, workforce surveys combined with expert surveys. A number of problems were observed during an evaluation in Latvia, and possible solutions are offered in this article.
