In recent years there has been a rapid development of Inter-Organizational Information Systems. Contributed to this globalization, which brings increasing competition in international and world-wide relations. The result is a need for rationalizing the common processes of many organizations, primarily in the supply chain. Optimization of processes within supply chain management is not possible without the support of computerized information systems, and not only electronic data interchange systems, but also integrating information systems on the level of business processes. The article presents current trends in systems integration as well as information systems and technologies relevant to B2B relationships. On this basis, the author attempted to develop a classification of Inter-Organizational Information Systems.
