The long-term development strategies were studied for a group of regions located in different climatic areas and having different industrial, labour & financial potentials, natural resources, transport infrastructure and other differences. It has been proved that the requirements for the concerted development scenarios of various branches of regional and national economy are not met and, as before, the separate scenarios do exist.. Neither investigated region did not take into account in its strategy tasks concerning the formation of optimal (rational) branch and production structure of economy of the region.
