The presented article describes proposals for changes in French obligations law initiated by the elaboration of the Catal project. The authors present the most important from among the accepted solutions, along with a reference to presently existing institutions. The article takes into consideration the achievements of French jurisdiction, which had as their foundation the regulations of the Napoleonic Code. This jurisdiction had a big influence on present changes, as well as on the opinion of doctrine. Particular emphasis was placed on a discussion of agreement convention problems in view of the most far-reaching changes in this area. The presented article also sheds light on the influences of European law on analyzed solutions.
