The article focuses on the connection between Jewish anthroponymy and Jewish customs and traditions. The examples quoted in this work illustrate the relationship between the names and the various honorable posts, work in the synagogue and performing specific functions in circumcision rites, the last offices etc. The second group is formed by the surnames referring to the symbolism of the festivals, symbolic meaning of the festive dishes, liturgical items etc.
