The following article attempts to present some aspects of the dialogue in the postmodern society as a context of intercultural education changes. Its aim is to analyze: the meeting as a source experience of the Other, the axiological meaning of the meeting, the ethical dimension of education, an open attitude towards the Other, the dialogical view of education. Te philosophy of the meeting as a development perspective of intercultural education is also shown. Te article also points out the meaning of taking responsibility for one's own freedom and for the freedom of the Other in intercultural education.
