The role of state in economy of Japan and in agriculture as very important branch of life provision is fairly significant. Gradually, having passed from the direct to indirect instruments regulating the important branches of economy, which without any doubt include the agriculture, the state pursues highly efficient policy of protecting the internal producer. Agrarian protection in Japan allowed to transform the farmer into efficient state partner and to ensure corresponding level of food security.
