The present article examines the acoustic weapons as non-lethal weapons. Non-lethal weapons are materials,procedures and methods which reduce the opponent's military capability, limit his human and technical potential, or make the opponent withdraw partly or fully, without destroying individual or en masse human life, or demolish military technology. Among non-lethal weapons the article discusses mainly the weapons operated on the acoustic principle that is the audible sound, and partly the equipment operating in the infrasound interval.
